Delegates to the Presidential Nominating Convention needed. If you want to be one of my Delegates, please read below and submit your information to me before Dec 7, 2007:
California Presidential Primary Candidates are requested to provide a slate of California
delegates to the Presidential Nominating convention, July 10-13, 2008 in Chicago,
Illinois.
California's convention delegates will be allocated to vote for candidates according
to the results of California's Presidential Primary Election. The number of
delegtes alloted to each candidate will be in proportion to the percentage of votes
each candidate receives in the Primary. Please note that a person cannot be on more
than one candidate's slate.
The delegate slates from GPCA counties and diversity caucuses will fill any unfilled
delegate seats in each candidate's slate.
The deadline to submit delegates to California's Delegate Selection Committee
is December 7, 2007.
California delegates must be GPCA members. GPCA members are either registered as
Green in California or "ineligible to vote but have been extended GPC membership
by their county."
Please submint the following for each potential delegate:
1) Full name as registered to vote
2) Phone number
3) Email
4) Mailing address
5) County of residence
6) Gender and any minority diversity group of which they are part, in order to aid
the selection of a gender-balanced and diverse delegation.
Please reference the following document for the specific procedures regarding the
California's delegate slate selection process
Please do your best to confirm that delegates are GPCA members, and then submit
their names and information to the Delegate Selection Committee at gpca-dsc@cagreens.org.
California state voter rolls are availalbe for $30. Please see attached documents
for forms and other information about obtaining California voter rolls.
